This potent artifact was craeted seven thousand years ago when the high priest of Castive asked his god for help in defeating the plague orb. The gods did thier best to assist the high priest but even they could not produce a miracle strong enough to defeat the magic of the orb. The best they could do was the creation of the Holy Staff. It should be noted that only Gaia and Teravan where able to participate in the making of this relic as the other gods where forced into hiding after nearly being destroyed by the plague orb. The priest used the staff in a the final battle against the orb and its master. In this battle the priest was destroyed after invoking the staffs magic. After that the staff was assumed to be lost but was actully being held in the traveling city Sharlang.
